What is the Community engagement camp (CEC)?
CEC is an annual event that brings together like-minded, passionate pre-university students who are keen to learn how to lead sustainable community projects. Spanning across a month, CEC is a platform for youths to experience first-hand how to initiate sustainable projects that serve the community and understand thinking frameworks. Among these is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) model. The ABCD model promotes the identification and mobilisation of existing but often unrecognised assets in underserved communities.
In our 2025 cycle, CEC will be held in mid-June and the finale will be late July. Some of our partner organisations this year would include SCWO, SANA, SACA as well as Singapore Prison Service. In addition to that, we would also be having distinguished speakers like Mr Willoughby Niki (Founder & CEO of TinkerThings Global), Mr Matthew Wee (Deputy Commissioner of Singapore Prison Service) and Dr Wong Sweet Fun (Senior Consultant & CTO at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital) to give talks to our participants as well!
